Job Description

Tax Preparer / Tax Accountant – Seasonal

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer / Tax Accountant to support a busy tax season for a well-established firm located in Wethersfield, Connecticut. This is a seasonal position running from February through May, ideal for a seasoned tax professional with strong experience preparing complex tax returns.

Up to $40 per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including:
- Small business returns
- Corporate tax returns
- Partnership returns
- Trust and fiduciary returns
Prepare returns using Drake Tax Software
Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
Review financial records and supporting documentation for accuracy
Communicate professionally with clients as needed regarding tax information

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or Tax Accountant
Experience with Drake Tax Software required
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage deadlines during peak tax season
Strong organizational and time-management skills
