Job Description
Tax Preparer / Tax Accountant – Seasonal
We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer / Tax Accountant to support a busy tax season for a well-established firm located in Wethersfield, Connecticut. This is a seasonal position running from February through May, ideal for a seasoned tax professional with strong experience preparing complex tax returns.
Up to $40 per hour depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including:
- Small business returns
- Corporate tax returns
- Partnership returns
- Trust and fiduciary returns
- Prepare returns using Drake Tax Software
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
- Review financial records and supporting documentation for accuracy
- Communicate professionally with clients as needed regarding tax information
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or Tax Accountant
- Experience with Drake Tax Software required
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines during peak tax season
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
