Sr. Accounting & Operations Manager (Accounting Manager / Business Operations)
Wallingford, CT | Direct Hire | $80,000 + Growth Potential
A.R. Mazzotta is partnering with a well-established organization in the Wallingford area to hire a Sr. Accounting & Operations Manager. This is a unique executive management opportunity for a hands-on professional who can lead accounting functions while contributing to business operations and growth initiatives.
This executive level role is ideal for an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant ready to expand into operations, analytics, and client-facing responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee full-cycle accounting:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Inventory & Cost Accounting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Work within ERP systems (Sage 100 strongly preferred)
- Support operational workflows and process improvements
- Analyze financial and business data to guide decisions
- Utilize CRM tools for tracking sales activity and client engagement
- Participate in sales calls and support business development efforts
- Travel to trade shows and client meetings as needed
- Assist with benefits program coordination
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Strong experience in accounting operations (GL, A/P, A/R, financial reporting)
- ERP system experience (Sage 100 preferred)
- Exposure to CRM systems and sales support activities
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and business-minded
- Ability to operate across accounting and operations functions
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Previous leadership or management experience preferred
