Job Description
Looking for a job? Do you have experience working in a warehouse, distribution center or manufacturing environment as a material handler or shipping / receiving clerk? A.R. Mazzotta has partnered with a distributor in New London County to find a Shipping Clerk to assist their busy warehouse team.
Contract to hire, $20 - $25 per hour.
This warehouse position requires heavy cleaning of secondhand equipment that’s been sitting in storage areas.
The right shipping clerk will be well organized, have meticulous attention to detail, the ability to handle fragile products, and basic computer skills. Carpentry knowledge and skills would be a plus.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis.
- Forklift certified a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work as a team and individually.
- Prior experience working in shipping.
- Must be able to commit to full time scheduled hours.
Responsibilities for this warehouse / distribution position
- Cleaning and preparing products for shipping.
- Packing products appropriately to avoid damage during shipping.
- Assist with the construction process of boxes and crates used for shipping.
- Unloading and loading trucks.
- Assist with other related warehouse and inventory duties as needed.
