Job Description
Senior CNC Machinist – Mazak Lathe (Aerospace)
- $27–$33/hr | 1st Shift | Contract-to-Hire | Precision Job Shop
- Experienced CNC Machinists only.
- Hartford county
If you’re strong on Mazak lathes, conversational programming, and tight-tolerance aerospace work, this shop wants your expertise.
This is a low-volume, high-mix aerospace environment — not production machining. You’ll machine complex, custom parts where quality, accuracy, and problem-solving matter.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Set up, program, and run Mazak CNC lathes
- Perform conversational programming and make program edits
- Machine tight-tolerance aerospace components
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and specifications
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision tools
- Troubleshoot independently to achieve first-pass quality
- Support continuous improvement and meet production timelines
WHAT WE NEED
- 10+ years of CNC machining experience (lathe-focused)
- Strong experience with Mazak controls and conversational programming
- Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T skills
- Aerospace or other high-precision machining background
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
