Sales & Customer Support Specialist
$18 - $20 per hour | Contract-to-Hire | Deep River Area
We are seeking a Sales & Customer Support Specialist to be a key resource for customers, sales representatives, vendors, and internal teams. This role combines customer service, order management, and sales support, ensuring questions are answered, orders are processed accurately, and customers receive timely and reliable information.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming customer calls and inquiries
- Provide professional and timely support to customers, sales representatives, vendors, and internal teams
- Respond to questions regarding products, orders, availability, and order status
- Accurately enter and process customer orders through the company's order management/ERP system
- Follow up on quotes, customer requests, and outstanding order information
- Communicate product and order information clearly and accurately
- Monitor orders and assist with resolving questions, discrepancies, or issues
- Develop a strong understanding of company products, systems, and go-to-market processes
- Maintain accurate customer and order records
- Collaborate with sales and internal departments to ensure orders are processed efficiently and customers receive timely updates
- Utilize ERP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and other company systems as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, sales support, order entry, order processing, or a related role
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Team-oriented approach with a willingness to support coworkers and contribute to shared goals
- Positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to learn new products, systems, and processes
- Comfortable working with computers and learning new software
- ERP or order management system experience is a plus
- SharePoint experience is a plus
Position Details:
- Pay: $18 - $20 per hour, based on experience
- Benefits: We offer benefits to employees on qualifying long-term assignments: Health, Dental, Vision insurance, Paid Time Off, MyCTSavings Retirement Savings Plan, AAA Membership. Additional benefits and eligibility may vary by assignment.

- Future Location: The company is planning to relocate to Hamden in 2027
