Payroll / Accounting Specialist – Part time Days
Looking for a welcoming, team-oriented environment where you can utilize your accounting skills and enjoy some flexibility in your schedule? We’ve partnered with a firm in the Hartford area that’s looking for a part-time Payroll / Accounting Specialist.
Minimum of 2 years' experience processing payroll, account payables, account receivables, and other accounting / bookkeeping tasks.
This firm offers flexibility with your work hours – and in return, they ask for a bit of flexibility from you as well!
- Up to 15 hours per week
- Any hours between 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
- Sorry, no evenings or weekends hours available
- Contract-to-hire
- $40 per hours.
What this accounting role looks like
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis – expected more hours during payroll weeks.
- Prepare and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheet with hours worked, adjustments, and other payroll-related data for submission to a third-party processor.
- Update and maintain employee 401 (k) contributions and records.
- Process and submit invoices for payment through an external vendor system.
- Prepare and record deposits accurately and in a timely manner.
- Upload and reconcile monthly bank statements.
- Provide support during annual benefits open enrollment.
- Assist with additional accounting tasks as needed.
