Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our client’s team as a Part-Time Medical Biller / Receptionist in the Hartford area. This position offers 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule, the potential for long-term employment along with a pay rate of $18-20 per hour.

Medical Billing / Receptionist Responsibilities:

Obtain authorizations for medical services as required.
Conduct insurance eligibility and benefit checks for patients.
Handle outstanding medical claims and address insurance denials promptly.
Identify accounts in need of additional follow-up and take necessary actions.
Maintain accurate records of patient information and medicl insurance details.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
Answer the main number and direct calls as necessary.
Schedule appointments and follow up with confirmation calls and texts.

Qualifications for this Medical Biller / Receptionist opening include:

At least 1-2 years of experience in a medical receptionist or medical billing role.
Proficiency in medical billing processes and terminology.
Knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 coding
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with medical software and electronic health records systems preferred.
Certification as a Medical Biller is a plus.
