Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Machine Builder / Millwright Mechanic for a New London area company. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background in building machines for manufacturing and production industries.
Direct Hire, $18 - $25 per hour, depending on experience. Some travel within Connecticut may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Build and troubleshoot industrial machines that meet specific functional requirements
- Maintain and repair industrial machines to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively
- Improve machine performance by modifying or upgrading existing machines
- Manage projects from start to finish, including developing project plans, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in industrial machine building and maintenance or a trade background
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and ability to train and mentor others
