Manufacturing Operations Manager – Hands-On Injection Molding
- Salary: $85K - $90K plus benefits
- Location: Middletown area
Our client, a well-established, small manufacturing company specializing in custom plastic injection molding, is looking for an experienced, hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead their production team.
This is not a behind-the-desk role – this position is ideal for someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and actively support operations on the floor when needed. You’ll be joining a smaller, team-oriented company where your leadership and technical expertise will have a direct impact on daily operations and long-term success.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee and manage daily production activities for the custom injection molding operation.
- Be present and engaged on the production floor – troubleshooting issues, supporting the team, and driving performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small but capable team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
- Improve processes and efficiency through hands-on problem-solving and team involvement.
- Ensure quality standards, safety protocols, and delivery deadlines are consistently met.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of manufacturing management experience, specifically in plastic injection molding.
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of injection molding machines, tools, and materials.
- A proven track record of being actively involved in production – not just overseeing from the office.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement strategies is a plus.
- Ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
