Job Description
We are seeking an experienced manual CNC Machinist for a contract to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manual CNC machines to product high-quality parts to meet customer specifications. Manchester area.
$20 - $32 per hour, based on level of experience and skill, plus benefits.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Read and interrupt engineering drawings, blueprints and schematics
- Select appropriate cutting tools and materials based on job requirements
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and gauges
- Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine and tooling issues
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manual CNC machining
- Trade school certification plus 1 year experience operating and setting up manual CNC machines
- Strong knowledge of machining practices and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with machine maintenance and repair
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
