Job Description
A.R. Mazzotta is currently accepting applications for a Machine Operating opening in the Middletown area. This role requires experience operating brake press / drill press machines.
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on experience. Contract with the possibility of hire.
As a machine operator, you will play an important role in the company’s manufacturing process. You will be responsible for setting up and operating brake and drill press machines to produce precise and accurate components. This machine operator position requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety and quality, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic set-up and operation of brake and drill press machines according to job specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate dimensions and quality.
- Inspect and measure finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Perform other manufacturing production processes and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 6 months’ solid experience working as a machine operator required.
- Experience operating Brake and Drill presses a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to use a ruler for measuring.
- Experience using micrometers is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
