Job Description
2nd and 3rd shift – Machine Operator
Machine Operator experienced with single and double extrusion machines! 2nd and 3rd shift. The company is in the Farmington area and is an industry-leading manufacturer, known for commitment to quality and innovation.
If you have solid machine operating experience, you can earn $18 per hour. Those with extrusion machine experience, could earn more. Contract to hire, company offers a nice benefits package as well.
Job Overview
- As one of their valued machine operators, you’ll be a vital part of their production team, responsible for operating and maintaining our single and double extrusion machines. Your expertise in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting will contribute to the consistent production of top-quality that meets our industry-leading standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare single and double extrusion machines for production runs, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
- Operate extrusion machinery to produce parts according to specifications and production schedules.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal output and product quality.
- Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet required standards and make adjustments as necessary.
- Troubleshoot machinery and equipment issues, performing basic maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of orders.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document production data, including quantities produced, materials used, and any issues encountered during production.
- Assist in training new machine operators and provide guidance as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on single and double extrusion machines.
- Familiarity with different types of extrusion materials and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality output.
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting abilities for machinery.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
