Job Description

Legal Assistant (Temporary – ~2 Months)
Location: New London, CT area
Pay: Up to $23/hour (based on relevant legal experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 30–35 hours/week

Overview
A.R. Mazzotta is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary for a temporary assignment lasting approximately 2 months. This role supports a busy legal office with a mix of administrative, client-facing, and document processing responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a legal environment and strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist clients in a professional reception capacity
Follow up with clients regarding documents
Assist with legal administrative and legal secretary duties
Support post-closing processes and documentation
Copy, scan, assemble, and process legal documents accurately
Track, organize, and manage confidential client materials
Provide general office and phone support as needed

Qualifications

Prior experience in a legal office or law firm required
Experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar role
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
Professional communication skills (phone, email, and in-person)
Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with general office equipment (copiers, scanners, etc.)
Reliable, organized, and able to follow processes accurately
