Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in purchasing and procurement? Have you worked as a Purchasing Assistant and now have a passion for the field? A.R. Mazzotta has 2 openings working as a Junior Buyer along the shoreline area.
Openings located in the Branford and Deep River areas.
$20 - $22 per hour depending on experience. Contract to hire.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the procurement of manufacturing materials and supplies
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely deliveries
- Negotiate prices and terms with vendors
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet project requirements
Successful Jr. Buyers will have the following attributes and qualifications
- Analytical
- Negotiation
- Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Technical Proficiency
- Problem-Solving
- Understanding of budgeting and cost control principles or ability to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Manufacturing industry knowledge would be a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field a plus
