Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual Preferred)
A.R. Mazzotta is partnering with an organization in the Old Saybrook, CT area to hire an experienced HR Generalist. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, collaborative HR team where you’ll support day-to-day HR operations while working independently across a wide range of responsibilities.
This role is ideal for an HR professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple HR functions including payroll, compliance, employee relations, and HR projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and support payroll administration (ADP experience preferred)
- Administer FMLA, workers’ compensation, and leave programs
- Participate in safety initiatives and committee activities
- Support employee relations, coaching, and HR guidance
- Manage recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Assist with HR reporting, compliance, and special projects
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a two-person HR team
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of HR generalist experience
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred, but not required
- Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll systems strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Solid knowledge of HR compliance, leave management, and employee relations
