Facilities Maintenance Technician
Direct Hire Opportunity | Shelton Area, CT
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM-5:30 PM
Are you a hands-on Maintenance Technician who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, and keeping operations running smoothly? We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the Shelton area seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team on a direct hire basis.
In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient production operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to support efficient production operations
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and document completed work
- Repair or replace motors, bearings, belts, sensors, pumps, valves, wiring, and related components
- Support facility maintenance, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and utility systems
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements
- Recommend solutions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certification or Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, PLCs, and other diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with CMMS software is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and organizational skills
