About the Role:
We are seeking a Contract Specialist to support a public higher education institution. This contract position focuses on managing and administering a wide range of agreements and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
We are seeking a Contract Specialist to support a public higher education institution. This contract position focuses on managing and administering a wide range of agreements and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, monitor, and audit contractual and purchasing activities
- Draft and review contracts, RFPs, purchase orders, PSAs, student affiliation, and license agreements
- Assist with negotiations and finalizing vendor agreements
- Ensure adherence to State and Federal statutes, CSCU policies, Attorney General guidelines, and the State Ethics Code
- Develop internal compliance procedures and deliver training to staff
- Serve as a liaison with the CSCU System Office, Board of Regents, Attorney General, and other agencies
Requirements:
- Experience working with Connecticut state contracts
- Background in contract administration, procurement, or compliance in the public sector or higher education
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethics guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
