Job Description
Direct Hire - We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate and set up turning and vertical CNC machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing precision parts according to specifications and ensuring the highest level of quality in every product. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of the company.
$18 - $25 per hour, depending on your experience. Wallingford area.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC turning and vertical machining centers.
- Interpret engineering drawings and program CNC machines accordingly.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and inspect parts throughout the machining process to maintain quality standards.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during machining.
- Work with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Maintain a safe and organized environment work environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a CNC Machinist with set up experience on turning and vertical CNC machines.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control tools.
- Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality parts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
