Job Description
Direct Hire - CNC Machinist – Aerospace (Middletown, CT)
We’re hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to join a growing aerospace manufacturer in the Middletown area. This is a 1st shift role (7:00am – 3:30pm) with competitive pay based on experience. Ideal candidates will have strong CNC setup and operating skills, experience with CNC lathes or CNC mills, and the ability to work with precision aerospace components.
Pay: $18 – $30/hour, DOE
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC mills or CNC lathes to produce precision aerospace components
- Work with tight tolerances to meet strict quality and aerospace machining standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring tools
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines and related shop equipment
- Maintain safety, quality, and production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualifications:
- 3 – 10 years of CNC machining experience (CNC setup, CNC operator, CNC programming a plus)
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and quality inspection tools
- Aerospace machining or precision machining experience strongly preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
