Job Description

Rare opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper in Middlesex County! This small firm needs to hire a strong bookkeeper who is willing to jump in and assist in the overall office operations. Opening due to retirement!

Company will provide you with a casual, family-oriented environment, and longevity in their employees. $24 per hour. Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm. Contract to hire, with the potential of direct hire for the right person!

As the bookkeeper, you will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger, and financial statements. You will also assist the office manager with administrative tasks including answering phones, employee benefits administration, event planning, project filing, coordinating building maintenance, etc. 

Experience / skills required
  • Accounting / Bookkeeping experience
  • Accounting degree is a plus
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience working with accounting software
  • Ability to learn new software programs with ease
  • Team player
  • Basic office administrative skills
