Are you a skilled billing professional looking for a permanent job opportunity? Our Middletown area client is looking for an experienced Billing Specialist to join their growing team! This opportunity is offering $19 and $28 per hour depending on experience.

A minimum of 4 years billing experience in an engineering, law firm or similar industry is required. Our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

Your day to day responsibilities will include the following
  • Extracting payroll and job cost data from electronic files for input into high value customer billings
  • Meeting monthly billing deadlines
  • Corresponding through both phone and email
  • Setting up new projects and maintaining project structure in accounting software
  • Assisting with the analysis of engineers’ time charges to projects
  • Processing client purchase orders, change orders, and monitoring project budget and billing limits
  • Assisting with any other accounting functions as needed such as accounts payable and payroll

The following experience, skills and attributes are highly important in this billing role
  • 4+ years’ experience in one firm billing high-value professional service contracts
  • Proficient with integrated employee time-capture and financial software
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of payroll and accounting principles
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Detail oriented
