Bilingual Medical Receptionist / Patient Access Representative
Are you bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoy helping patients while keeping a busy medical office running smoothly? We're seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist / Patient Access Representative to join a busy healthcare team. In this role, you'll welcome patients, coordinate appointments, verify insurance, and provide exceptional customer service in both English and Spanish. This position offers $22.00 per hour.
In this position, you will be one of the first points of contact for patients and will help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience from check-in through scheduling, registration, insurance verification, payment collection, and general front desk support.
What you’ll do:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Register and update patient information accurately in the system
- Schedule appointments, manage patient forms, and support recall lists
- Verify medical insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals (if applicable), demographic information, and billing information
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and process payments
- Assist with patient portal enrollment and scanning documents into patient records
- Provide Spanish interpretation support as needed
- Answer phones, assist with patient questions, and support the front desk team
What we’re looking for:
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
- Strong customer service, phone etiquette, and communication skills
- Accurate data entry and comfort working on a computer throughout the day
- Prior front desk, medical office, scheduling, insurance verification, or patient access experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while remaining professional and patient-focused
- High school diploma or GED required
Schedule requirement:
This position requires flexibility to work rotating 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including weekends as needed.
