Job Description
Administrative Assistants – Seasonal Project
A.R. Mazzotta is partnering with a healthcare organization in Wallingford to hire multiple Seasonal Administrative Assistants to support their 2026 audit project. These full-time, temporary positions will run through late April to early May.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong administrative skills, comfort communicating with medical offices, and the ability to follow detailed processes.
These openings are offering $20 per hour, and will be fully onsite in Wallingford, CT. Regular schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve medical records from provider offices through phone calls, emails, fax, and mail
- Perform clerical tasks including scanning, faxing, and organizing digital files
- Collect, sort, assemble, and save medical records according to established procedures
- Maintain accuracy and organization within software and data-entry systems
- Support nursing abstractors with record retrieval, phone outreach, and claims lookups
- Protect confidentiality of patient information at all times
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Experience using various software tools (databases, document management systems, Outlook, etc.)
- Prior experience communicating with healthcare organizations is a plus
- Ability to follow structured procedures and adapt to shifting priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Previous healthcare administrative experience helpful but not required
