Job Description
Medical Administrative Assistant – Middletown, CT
A.R. Mazzotta is hiring a Medical Administrative Assistant for a contract opening in Middletown, CT. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with the State of Connecticut while gaining valuable medical office experience!
Offering qualified candidates $19.50 per hour.
Schedule (32 hours per week):
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming calls professionally
- Call patients to schedule and confirm appointments
- Coordinate patient transportation
- Conduct follow-up calls as needed
- Communicate clearly with doctors and nurses
- Work within Excel to track and update information
- Fax and file documentation accurately
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and phone skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Experience with scheduling and coordination tasks a plus
