Job Description
Administrative Assistant – Part Time
- Location: Hamden area
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (with flexibility for additional hours during busy season)
- Pay Rate: $20 - $21/hour
- Contract-to-Hire
A small, well-established insurance firm in the Hamden area is looking for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background, excellent computer skills, and an interest in the insurance field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Assist with client documentation and data entry
- Handle incoming calls and client inquiries with professionalism
- Support insurance processing and claims follow-up
- Help prepare materials and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
- Prior administrative experience required
- Strong computer skills and comfort learning new systems
- Experience with Medicaid is a plus
- Interest in pursuing an insurance license is highly preferred
- Detail-oriented with good communication and organizational skills
