Job Description
A premier metal supplier in the Wallingford area has an opening on their team for a Part Time Accounting Clerk. This critical accounting role requires a person with talent, initiative, and drive! Excellent opportunity to join a growing organization. Prior experience working in a manufacturing company and utilizing SAGE is required.
Hours: 3 days per week, with some flexibility regarding the schedule. Will consider Hybrid work schedule as well.
$23 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.
Primary Accounting Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Record invoices received and approved, to Accounts Payable schedule.
- Allocate invoices to the Chart of Accounts before recording.
- Pay bills.
- Analysis of bills for vendor performance.
Accounts Receivable
- Make calls for payments of outstanding bills as needed.
- Invoicing shipments to customers.
- Posting payments.
- Prepare bank deposits.
General Office Support
- Order supplies.
- Responsible for maintaining existing files, paper retention policies.
- Completion of tracking reports on vendor performance in various aspects of PO submission.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of SAGE 100 Accounting Software
- Worked in the manufacturing industry handling accounting functions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
