Job Description
Temporary Accounting Associate (Hybrid)
We are assisting a client in the Glastonbury, CT area with hiring a Temporary Accounting Associate to provide coverage during a team member’s leave. This is an accounting opportunity ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to accuracy.
Accuracy is non-negotiable in this role. We are seeking someone who follows procedures carefully, takes ownership of their work, and can be fully reliable throughout the assignment.
- Role is offering $18/hr+ depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy
- Assist with transaction reconciliation
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Support month-end close activities
- Follow established accounting procedures and documentation standards
Qualifications:
- Basic accounting knowledge (coursework or hands-on experience)
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience / familiarity with QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, dependable, and able to commit fully to the assignment
- Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
