Fantastic career opportunity for a human services professional looking to substantially impact the Middlesex County community.  The Middlesex United Way is looking for a Community Impact Director to oversee the community impact agenda, identify and participate in critical initiatives and collaborations and manage key initiatives.  Reporting to the President & CEO, this position also manages all aspects of fund distribution, volunteer coordination, allocation and contracting of funds.  $58k - $70k + generous benefits package.

As part of the Leadership Team, the Community Impact Director must have strong communication, analytical, technical and leadership skills as well as expertise in problem solving, planning and organizing. 

Use your excellent communication skills to facilitate events and make presentations, and your leadership skills to influence people and identify problem areas and create solutions.  Your analytical skills will be needed to perform budget and program analysis and develop, assess and facilitate evaluation strategies and outcome measurement plans. 

The Middlesex United Way is looking for an individual who wants to effect substantive community level change and be a resource for community-based agencies and local communities.  There is significant interaction with the Board of Directors as well as being the primary staff resource to the Community Impact Council and its Education, Health, Housing and Financial Stability teams. 

In addition to the above, must haves include:
  • Bachelor’ s degree.  A Master’ s degree in public administration, community planning, social work or a related field is preferred.
  • Seven years’ experience in health and human services, nonprofit or social justice; five years with a Master’ s degree.
  • Strong technical skills, including MS Office and database.
  • Experience with or strong interest in issues of equity.
