Job Description

A.R. Mazzotta has an opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist. You will be working in the corporate office of a large retail distributor located in the Branford area. Our client offers a positive team working environment and is ready to welcome you to their team!

$17 per hour, Contract to hire.

To be successful in this accounts payable role, you will need the following training, skills, and experience.

Accounting or Business degree
Prior experience working in an office environment.
Experience working in an accounting department is a plus.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Fast and accurate 10 Key (data entry)
Detail-oriented
Willingness to help.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working on accounting software and/or an ERP system a plus.
Ability to learn to navigate new computer programs with ease.

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for the following.

Distributing incoming invoices.
Review invoice files for processing instructions.
Match and process supplier invoices to the purchase order.
Process non-inventory invoices in ERP system
Create ACH or check payment batches
